Holy Week

"The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house, says the Lord Almighty, and in this place I will grant peace, declares the Lord Almighty." Haggai 2.9

Have been wondering about this verse in relation to my right knee;  this part of my normally highly tuned physical frame in rather a sorry state and unable to keep pace with Jeanie's power walking on the Heath and over enthusiasm of dog .

Made worse by last minuting Fred's birthday card sending - causing limping sprint round Hampstead tackling Postman/person at 6.43pm (will I never learn!).

This morning at 7UP a group gathered in Treacle Hall (the rear section of the HTSC building) and prayed for MASSIVE- the new kids club starting in May to reach the unchurched kids in our school and beyond - to have fun, to show them the love of Jesus.

Then to Red Sky Cafe at the front; we prayed for the Lord to go before us with the launch of this new venture in just two weeks time- to touch the lost hundreds and thousands.

Realised again what an AWESOME FATHER our God is!  That His church here has come to life with such power in such a short time.

Received a message from a member with a theme we have heard many times- "I saw a picture of people who were chained/handcuffed and crawling up the steps to the church.. and a sense that the cafe in particular will be a place where that freedom will start for them."

Knee not so much of big deal.  I need to take time in these next days of  Holy Week, to remember again that Jesus loves me as I am, even to being pierced with nails on a cross.
